“Heart Matters” deals with how people respond to stress and how those responses can affect one’s health. Heart Disease is one of the main causes of death especially in men today, and stress is the number one cause of heart failure along with hypertension, and untreated high blood pressure. Stress management is important in maintaining good health.
In the year of 2000, my son, Gregory L. Jones first realized he had a heart disease. He enrolled in the Thoratec Heart Mate II Research Study, where he was implanted with a mechanical heart pump, at Advocate Christ Hospital Medical Center with hopes of finding a cure for his heart disease. Greg placed himself in a position to help others, and he was very aware of all the risk involved.
I received a revelation from the Lord during that time to write a book about Gregory. I shared this with him and he was so pleased. Greg had the biggest smile on his face, as if to say, “Something is finally going in my favor.” We began to take pictures and ask a lot of questions, but I was struggling.
